Everyone was raving about this place called That Latte Place which serves really good breakfast and coffee. That got me excited! Went hunting for this place on Sunday to have our late lunch and did not have any trouble finding the location, thanks to past reviews of the place where accurate directions were given.
That Latte Place is located along Persiaran Ritchie, tucked inside a far corner of Pusat Seni dan Galeri. Set amidst trees and a little park way, tables and chairs with sun shades are placed just a few feet from the stall and if you are sun shy, there's always a covered area to seat comfortably.
The owner is a friendly guy who takes joy out of making coffee and food for his customers. Although, the menu isn't as extensive as some restaurants or cafe, That Latte Place serves decent breakfast meals from as low as RM8.
It was 3pm and I was dying of hunger so I opted for the biggest breakfast they have, which was the Hearty Breakfast at RM17.90 which included scrambled eggs and mushrooms on butter toast, a side of baked beans, 2 chicken sausages - which was very good, grilled tomatoes, baked potato cubes (a little undercooked, actually) and hash browns.
Doug ordered the Double House Egg Ben, which had the meanest Egg Benedicts (according to him). The yolk was cooked to perfection and he enjoyed his lunch - ALOT. Also came with baked potatoes and grilled tomatoes at RM17.90.
No meal should ever be complete without a cup of coffee. So, we ordered a cup of Cappuccino RM8 and Flat White RM8. I thought that my cup of cappuccino was alright. Wouldn't say that their coffee is great because I still prefer Podgy's. Perhaps for those who aren't too choosy with their coffee would love having a cup or two at That Latte Place and who wouldn't when the ambiance of the area is super relaxing.
That Latte Place.
