Bijan's 10th Anniversary Buka Puasa Dinner
GAH! Two posts in a day. Super hardworking! *back to serious blogging face*
Bijan Bar & Restaurant is a modern restaurant that specialises in fine Malay cuisine, located just around the end corner of Changkat. One would describe the place to be rustic, yet modern. Cozy, yet spacious. The most unique difference that Bijan has as compared to other Malay fine dining restaurant that I know is that Bijan is a bar and restaurant. Yes, that means alcoholic dinner is possible or a simple wine and dine with loved ones if you felt like having Malay fine dining delicacies for a change.
Yesterday was a milestone for Bijan as they celebrated their 10th Year Anniversary by hosting a Buka Puasa Buffet Dinner for the media members and I was fortunate enough to be able to celebrate this wonderful occasion with them by sampling a selection of authentic Malay cuisine among others. Just a few of their delicious dishes served that night ;
From Appetizers to Dessert, we've had Daging Bungkus Kukus, Acar Tauhu, Otak Otak, Satay, Rusuk Panggang, Rendang Kambing, Kambing Panggang with Kuah Satay, Sotong Hitam Manis, Ikan Siakap Masak Asam Pedas, Asparagus Goreng Belacan, Pucuk Paku Goreng Tahi Minyak, Nasi Minyak, Nasi Ulam, Corn Creme Brulee and a choice of Coffee or Tea was served.
Bijan Bar & Restaurant also won Best Malay Restaurant in 2004, just a year after they were opened. They can also be found in Malaysia Tatler’s Top 100 Restaurants, The Lonely Planet Guide to Malaysia, and The Miele Guide to just name a few.
I would also like to point out that a few cooking workshops are available for booking.
