This post will go down as a truly special day in my whole entire life...
It is the first time I will be talking about a tub of toothpaste. And that's what I meant when I said "white stuff" in the title obviously... pffft.
TruCare Nano Silver, that's what it's called, and it arrived in my hands about a week ago. You probably have not heard of TruCare until you read this post, and frankly speaking, I didn't know about it until I received it myself. But I was curious about how this toothpaste could be better than any of those I've ever bought off the shelf. Blame the shiny silver packaging!
Honestly, I think it's going to be quite difficult to rate toothpaste, but I have some slight dental problems that I could use as a test subject. My teeth have always had a problem with drinks that are too cold, so personally, I was hoping that this TruCare Nano Silver tub of white stuff (Don't think dirty again) would help. Doug doesn't really care about what toothpaste he uses, he probably wouldn't know the difference between Darlie and Komodo Lion, but for the purpose of this test, I forced him to give TruCare a try. He has weak gums that bleed mildly even with softer toothbrushes and his teeth has even chipped a bit before while eating. Eww.
From a sensation point of view, I will describe TruCare Nano Silver as super minty... in a good way! I'm not sure how it works, but the strong minty effect kind of feels like it is really killing bacteria. Apparently, the Nano Silver content helps with this. Oh and you also get a nice, fresh scent that is refreshing in the morning but kind of relaxing at night.
I haven't had a long enough time to properly see the results, but the early signs are interesting. So far, Doug has had less bleeding gums and I haven't suffered any "cold drink" pain yet. Must test it by eating ice cream one day.
I will post more updates on any significant benefits when I do feel them. For now, the cooling sensation and strong mint taste is enough for me to suggest that you try it yourself!
For more info, do visit TruCare's Facebook Page and TruCare Website.

My thoughts on The General Motors (GM) Diet Plan
So, here it is. My thoughts on The General Motors (GM) Diet Plan that I just completed not long ago.
Before I even began, I never really thought about how discipline I had to be in order to really go through with it. Yes, I've read tons of reviews and other people trying it but I never knew that the daily temptations through the 7 days was magnified by 10 times, making the diet plan even harder to follow. So, if you are reading this and you really want to do it, BE VERY SURE of your aim. My aim was to lose my belly fat and I really wanted it to work. BAD.
7 Days Diet Regime
When I did my own schedule, not varying far away from the actual one, I was so convinced that I could go through this. 7 days was a really short time for what I planned to lose. I've read past experiences and they don't mention what they feel or how it works for them but their end result was always fascinating to me. 22kg? really? I want that too! Not that much but I still really want to lose some weight.
So the first day as you can read here, was REALLY TOUGH. It was all fruits. Anything other than fruits was a strict NO and this was really difficult even when I was at home. Neighbors cooking, Facebook food posts, and the temptation was so strong to just go into my kitchen and dig up something to eat but I told myself to look forward to the next day. That was how I went through my entire 7 days diet. Just find something to look forward to the next day and you'll actually go through the day easier.
Day 4 was really demotivating for me because it was just bananas and milk. I didn't lose any weight as well so I was really at a 60:50 point where I wanted to give up but I was thinking to myself that if I am not giving this a shot, I wouldn't know for sure that I will succeed in losing weight. So, I held my grounds, and went on with it for the next few days.
Surprisingly, I lost another kg the next day and that was the best feeling in the world because I was right not to give up.
Was it worth it?
Hell, yes! I lost 2kgs and 1.5" off my waistline.
A healthy way to reset your body
This diet plan has taught me that I should eat what my body needs and not more than that. It also gave me a fresh start to begin eating healthy and maintaining my body the way it is (less fat) and it is the perfect plan for those who want to lose some weight by working out because it prepares your body for that with lesser fat percentage. Hence, easier to burn off remaining fat in your body when you go for your workout sessions and in return you'll get a leaner body and a body you've always wanted.
Post GM Diet
I find myself being very cautious about what I am eating after the GM Diet. I didn't want to waste my 7 day effort by pigging out the very next day my diet was completed. I read on some blogs that that was where some people went wrong. When the body loses an amount of fat within a short period of time, it seizes the opportunity to store more the next chance it gets. So, it is wise to maintain a light diet throughout the day. Eat healthy and you'll feel healthy.
So, yup! That's generally what I think about the GM Diet. Glad that I had the discipline to try it out. Read about my GM Diet experiences here. GOOD LUCK!

The GM Diet | Day 7 - Brown Rice (1 cup) + Vegies + Fruits
Weighed myself this morning, no change from yesterday and no surprise there. I didn't really expect myself to drop another kg from eating beef. LOL.
Weighing at 49kg in the morning. (non from Day 6)
1PM - 1 bowl brown rice and stir fried paku pakis.
9PM - Subway sandwich. Yeah, I went off my diet on the last day because I was just too tired to make dinner for myself. I was supposed to have stir fry eggplants with potatoes and half cup brown rice. So a sandwich from Subway is justifiable.
11PM - 1 cup lemon juice.
My intake today was very very little because I had a busy schedule and I didn't feel hungry so I didn't have to eat alot anyway. I didn't follow the diet plan schedule because most of the time I had to do something and the schedule stated that I needed to eat apple, which I had to cut and I had no time for that. So, I just went with the flow.
I AM SO GLAD TODAY IS THE LAST DAY! Will be blogging about the overall of The GM Diet Plan tomorrow.

The GM Diet | Day 6 - Unlimited Meat + Unlimited Vege
I weighed myself this morning and had to look twice at the machine. I went down 1kg! Can someone say FINALLY!!
When the schedule says unlimited meat and vege, I've never taken it seriously. I went on with what the schedule says or less. Reason why, I only want to eat what my body needs, not more. I hardly exercise, so I took in less. I am guessing why I lost that 1kg was from the 5hour walk in Midvalley. It was tiring but I guess, so worth it!
Today, such a great start. It really motivated me, seeing that my effort and discipline has rewarded me with a 2kg lost so far and guess what? My waist was 28" at the beginning and today it was measured at 26.5"! 1.5" gone! No Monday blues for me :)
Weighing at 49kg in the morning. (lost 1kg from Day 5)
Waistline at 26.5" (lost 1.5" from Day 1)
1130AM - Baked rosemary 1 chicken leg quarter stripped of excess fats and stir fried kangkung. SO SO GOOD! With chicken being my staple diet everyday, imagine not having it for 5 days. Soon, you'll forget how it taste like. No kidding. When I first bit into my chicken today it was.... WOW. LOL. Ate 2 gold kiwis.
230PM - Did 28 laps in the pool. Pretty impressive. Although I was worn out pretty quickly.
7PM - Pan fried beef with 2 roasted tomatoes. DELICIOUS!
11PM - 1 cup lemon water.
Tomorrow is finally the last day of this GM Diet experience. Really really amazing. Will blog about what I think of the GM Diet plan on a whole once I'm done!

The GM Diet | Day 5 - Lean Beef & Vege
I've already accepted the fact that I won't be losing any weight because today is Day 5 and I am still weighing the same. I guess I'll just take this diet plan to detox my body and restarting it so that I'll be healthier. To date I've been sleeping soundly and waking up at 10AM everyday without any difficulty which is a plus.
Weighing at 50kg in the morning. (none lost from Day 4)
11AM - Oh hello, beef. I made pan fried beef with olive oil and added a little salt and pepper to taste along with baked broccoli because I had leftover from the previous schedule where I skipped it. Ate everything and savored every taste of it because it was so good!
7PM - 1 bowl of soup.
11PM - 1 cup lemon water.

The GM Diet | Day 4 - Bananas (6) & Milk (3)
Well, I woke up feeling really excited to weigh myself but I soon got pretty disappointed when I weighed the same. NOTHING has changed. 3 days of constant fruits and vege, yet I am still at 50kg. BUMMED. At this point I am not even sure if I should go head with another 4 more days of this intensive diet. Today is the worst actually. Just Bananas and Milk. Sigh.
Weighing at 50kg in the morning. (none lost from Day 3)
10AM - 2 bananas & 1 glass of low fat milk.
12PM - 1 bowl of Wonder Soup and 1 cup of English Breakfast Tea.
Went out to Publika. Finally, a breath of fresh air and sun. I've been cooked up at home ever since the diet because I didn't need to eat out or didn't have any reason to go out. Today, I went to check out CAFFA (Coffee and Art Fringe Festival 2013) at Publika and the smell of coffee aroma was hypnotizing. Did I take even a sip? NOPE I didn't. Still going strong with this diet.
3PM - 2 bananas.
5PM - 1 banana and 1 glass of milk.
7PM - 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of watermelon.
11PM - 1 banana and 1 glass of milk.
Well, not the best day for me. I am absolutely demotivated. One minute I was keen on continuing with the diet and the next I really thought of giving up. Didn't help that it was the weekend and everywhere I went had food signs. Sigh. At least I am looking forward to the beef tomorrow.

The GM Diet | Day 3 - Unlimited fruits & Unlimited non-starchy vege
Weighing at 50kg in the morning. (none lost from Day 2)
11AM - 1/2 bowl of Wonder Soup and 1 cup of English Breakfast from Ahmad Tea. I fell in love with their tea when I first drank it at Ante. Soon after I decided to stock up on their English Breakfast because I love the taste compared to all others. You can find a box at Ben's Grocer in Publika for RM4+? Can't really remember the price.
130PM - Baked asparagus and 1 bowl of watermelon.
4PM - Baked broccoli and 1 bowl of watermelon.
6PM - 1/2 pomelo. So my mom bought me a huge pomelo the other day when she was back from Cameron's and I had no idea it takes a few strong men to cut that thing up. Well yeah, I had it before but I had my mom to cut it for me and this was my first time wrestling with that thing. LOL.
830PM - Instead of stir fry, I boiled the bak choys and topped with oyster sauce. So yummy! Was suppose to eat broccoli as well but I didn't want to cos I wasn't hungry. 1 bowl of watermelon.
11PM - 1 cup lemon water
I felt completely fine today and I didn't have any cravings eventhough I was blogging about food and looking at pictures of food on Facebook. Oh, the best thing was I was eating my bak choy right next to Doug who was eating a packet of chicken rice. I thought I was eating too much actually! Every moment when it was time to have my meal, I found myself thinking to myself, "AGAIN?! but I just ate!" and I wasn't hungry at all. Oh, and I even missed the time by a half hour to an hour. Whereby the first day, I was on the dot with every meal. Talk about change in my diet. LOL.
Not looking forward to tomorrow though. So happened that it is Saturday and all I can take is 8 bananas and 3 glasses of milk. I guess the highlight must be 2 bowls of soup and a cup of tea? Everyday has to have a highlight or else I won't have anything to look forward to right?

The GM Diet | Day 2 - All non-starchy vege & One potato
Weighing at 50kg in the morning. (lost 1kg)
10AM - 1/2 bowl of Wonder Soup. I was a little bored of the soup yesterday but today, it felt good giving my stomach something warm to hug. 1 small papaya :)
12PM - Baked 2 small Australian potatoes! *happy dance*. So I've finally gotten a taste of solid food and instead of going for that 1 pat of butter to top with my potatoes, I baked it with 1 teaspoon of olive oil (yes, I am that disciplined), added rosemary flakes with a little salt and black pepper. Plus 1 bowl of soup. It felt like it was my birthday! LOL.
3PM - Roasted broccoli and cherry tomatoes. Today's food intake is so much better because I get a taste of different stuff rather than the same soup all the time.
5PM - Baked 1 small Australian potato. I haven't been hungry the whole day which was a plus!
7PM - Baked asparagus and fresh cherry tomatoes.
11PM - 1 cup lemon water.
Today went by so fast I had little time thinking of what to snack on which was great! I wasn't hungry at all throughout the day. Potatoes gave me enough to last the few hours I needed. Highlight of tomorrow, I get to drink tea! :)

The GM Diet | Day 1 - All Fruits
Weighing at 51kg in the morning.
10AM - 1 small Papaya : Very easy to finish because the papaya was delicious!
12PM - 1/4 Watermelon : It took me 30mins to finish this and I was so glad I finally did! Had half a bowl of Wonder Soup just to keep my stomach warm. At this point I am feeling slightly weak.
233PM - WHY AM I ALWAYS SO HUNGRY!
3PM - OMG I get to drink SOUP! Drank a big bowl of soup. Schedule says 1/4 Cantaloupe but I couldn't find that in the supermarket so I just made do with the soup since I have so much of it.
336PM - This is definitely not for the weak. I just can't stop thinking about food!
410PM - Snacked on some grapes. Felt happier!
7PM - So surprised that I lasted 3 hours without feeling hungry after the grapes. Now for some soup. Only managed to drink 1 1/2 bowl of soup instead of 2.
9PM - Snacked on 2 Yellow Kiwis.
10PM - 1 cup of Lemon Water.
At the end of the day, I felt like I've won! There were so many temptations, Facebook constant food updates, neighbor cooking, MY KITCHEN filled with biscuits, food, coffee!, and so many snacks that I just felt like giving up. BUT I kept telling myself that no day can be worse than today because tomorrow, I am so looking forward to that potato that I am entitled to!

General Motors (GM) Diet Plan
I first heard of GM Diet from Linora and have followed her through her daily GM Diet log on Facebook and her 7 days experience on her blog. I got really interested and have been wanting to try it out but my schedule for the past weeks have been filled with food reviews, events and traveling. So, finally I decided that this is the week to try it. It couldn't be more perfect when I will be heading off to Koh Samui next week for my birthday retreat, thanks to the hubs for bringing me somewhere every year as a birthday treat for me. :)
I'll try to make this as short as possible so you don't have to scroll too much but just look at pictures. ;P
What is the GM Diet Plan?
General Motors diet plan started with General Motors Corporation employee soon became a world popular diet plan which was adopted by people across the world. The 7 day diet plan is based on the intake of specified food items which includes raw materials such as vegetables, fruits, juice, lean meat and avoid the intake of any dairy products. The popularity of this diet program is its fast weight reducing technique in a span of a week.
According to the survey by some of the well known diet researchers, GM diet plan has been proved to be the safest and the most preferred dieting plan among individual. Though there are certain effects, which a GM diet follower may experience during the first few days of his diet plan ; hunger, weakness and sweating. However after few days a person will experience a soothing effect of this diet plan.
An individual may lose 8-10 % of body fat by strictly following this dietary program .
I came up with this schedule to make it easier for me to follow. At anytime you want to tweak it, feel free to but don't wonder off the path.
The Seven Day Diet Plan
The GM diet is divided into seven days, which requires the intake of specified meal for each day. A person starts the diet with the intake of green vegetables, fruits and lean meat to detoxify his body thereby showing some effective result in less time. Water intake is an important aspect of this dieting technique, and a follower of this diet plan is strictly advised to consume at least 10 glass of water every day.
Grocery List
Gotten all of the items from AEON Midvalley

1/2 papaya, 3/4 watermelon, 1/2 Pomelo, 8 bananas, 2 Fuji Apple, 4 lemons, 1 pack of Kiwi, Small pack of Grapes

Supposedly 567gsm lean beef but I decided to buy lesser and supposedly 1 chicken leg quarter but they don't have just 1 so I had to buy 2.

5 potato, 3 broccoli, 2 pack asparagus, 2 box cherry tomatoes, 1 pack bak choy, 8 big tomatoes, 1 pack kangkung, 1 bunch celery (soup), 1 bunch carrot (stew), 1 pack paku pakis, 1 Sweet Potato, 1 pack eggplant, 2 green peppers (soup), 1 cabbage, 1 pack ladies fingers
Total Cost : RM110.26
Wonder Soup Recipe
Slice and dice everything, put them into the crock pot the night before you start your diet plan. Add a little bit of salt and pepper and voila! Next day, your house smells of Herbal Soup (the herb smell from Celery - not my favourite).
The Wonder of this soup is, it has NO FAT substance and you can drink this whenever you want to during your diet when you are hungry. The ingredients that I bought are enough to make TWO POTS of soup. I had half kept in the fridge for the second batch.
Have yet to try it out but I bet this will be the best soup I'll ever get to have for the next 7 days.
Benefits
1. It helps to detoxify the body from harmful chemical thereby cleaning the entire body and preparing it for a healthy dietary technique.
2. An individual may lose 8-10 kg of body fat in seven days
3. An easy way to maintain a slim and perfect body figure
4. Enhances the glow and beauty of your skin and gives you a toned muscle
5. Beneficial for people of all ages
If you want to try this plan out, GOOD LUCK! I'll be blogging about my daily intake for the next 7 days.
